This policy explains what we collect when you visit or buy from cairn.now, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. Last updated 18 August 2026.

Who we are

CAIRN is operated by ALPHUS INTERNATIONAL TRADE LIMITED, 14 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong. For any privacy question, write to info@cairn.now.

What we collect

  • When you buy: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number, and what you ordered. Card details go directly to our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number.
  • When you browse: device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • When you subscribe: your email address, until you unsubscribe.

Why we collect it

To process and ship your order, to answer your emails, to prevent fraud, to measure which of our ads and pages actually work, and — if you have opted in — to send you marketing email.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services needed to run the store:

  • Shopify — our ecommerce platform, which hosts this site and processes orders.
  • Payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal) — to take payment.
  • Shipping carriers and our fulfilment partner — to deliver your order.
  • Meta Platforms — we run a Meta pixel and its server-side equivalent so we can measure ad performance and show relevant ads. This sends Meta events such as page views, add-to-cart and purchase, along with hashed identifiers.
  • Email service providers — to send order confirmations and, where you opted in, marketing.

Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the cart and checkout to function, plus analytics and advertising cookies. You can refuse non-essential cookies through the banner where one is shown, or block cookies in your browser — the store will still work, but checkout may misbehave if you block all of them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Email info@cairn.now and we will respond within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. You may still exercise your access and deletion rights at the address above.

EU/UK residents: we process your data to perform our contract with you (orders), on the basis of consent (marketing, non-essential cookies), and for our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, measuring advertising). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as we are required to for tax and accounting purposes. Marketing subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Children

This store is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
